Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood directs a feisty and talented company of actors and musicians in an extraordinary new staging of Chess The Musical.

Written by Tim Rice and ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, Chess has one of the greatest musical theatre scores of all time, including One Night in Bangkok; Pity The Child; Anthem; You And I and, of course, I Know Him So Well, which became a number one hit for Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson.

The story sees two of the world's greatest chess masters battle it out at the world chess championships, but their greatest contest is for the love of one woman who is the manager of one but has fallen for the other.

  • @TWIllustrator Florence is the wonderful Shona White, who's currently doing Panto at The Theatre Royal Nottingham alongside Joe Pasquale, and Svetlana was played by the gorgeous Poppy Tierney.

  • Good Luck to all the cast and crew with the show in Toronto! You've all performed a great tour in the UK, and I hope you bring the house down in Canada!! I look forward to working with you again soon!!! Matt

  • Ok, so now all you need to do it film the rest of it and then put it on DVD. Yes? Ok.

Without a doubt the best touring production and one of the top three musicals I have ever seen. Managed to see it twice. Absolutely incredible :)

  • Absolutey BAD compaired to original.. Very dissapinted.

  • @advisiontvltd Trust me, they very much did! For someone who had no idea what this musical would be like going into it, they did a very spectacular job. With I could have seen it a second time with this cast

  • Spectacular Spectacular Spectacular!!!

Now lets see CHESS in the west end.

  • I wasn't that charmed by this rendition of Anthem. Although, there are things here that are truly wonderful or nice, such as One Night in Bangkok (not really impressed, but nice). I have to ask, in I Know Him So Well, who's Florence and who's Svetlana? Though, The Deal sounds great!! I'd like to watch this!

  • damn, that's greatest version of anthem I think I have ever heard, Groth needs to pick up his game a lil bit

  • That arbitor is the most handsome one I've ever seen. He's a good singer, too.

  • Gutted I only found this out after my old obsession for Chess returned! Looked brilliant (and Freddi Trumper?? Don't mind if I do! mmmmmm lol)

  • WHaaa??? What is this, John Doyle meets Thunderdome? Do it right or don't do it at all. This looks laughably bad.

  • I saw it last night in Toronto. Finally a production worthy of the brilliant score. Incredible show. Incredible cast. Wow!
