Part 3 of 3. To wrap up our first anniversary, we have the most requested game to review from our fans. The sequel to Illusion of Gaia - Terranigma. The very definition of a hidden gem, this game never even saw a North American release. So how does it stack up to the forebear? Roo breaks it down in this special 15th episode of 16-Bit Gems.

  • Great review for one of my favourite games (I've even made a full playthrough of it). I didn't know Enix America closed up right when Terranigma was released, too bad for those who missed out.

I just wanted to point out that you pronounced Loire wrong. :)

  • @InsightOnVideogames Yeah, that's the problem with all of these games without voice acting - I'm never sure how to pronounce things. I had to look up how to pronounce Aghanim, since I know I've said that wrong since I was a kid. Ah, well, you say tomato...

  • OMFG if you want damn sad moments in a JRPG play MOTHER 3

  • Terranigma's storyline, especially the last chapter...wow. You don't get that kind of storytelling in most modern games.

You should really put more time in observing and trying to understand.

The problem isnt that america would have changed what lies in the game. The problem is the restriction to begin with... Just like many other problems that are misidentified, if we were to throw them away, our world would be a much better place, as will the games be.

  • great game but one things allways bothered me: ressurect animals? kill a bunch of animals, ressurect birds, plants... : kill a bunch of birds and plants! jeez couldnt they have made some different enemies in those levels???

  • OH SNAP THE GAME WENT ALL 6TH SENSE IN YOUR FACE! LMAO!

  • Why am I watching this?! I want to play the game!

  • I think everyone pronounces certain characters wrong. I remember growing up for some reason I always pronounced kefka as kel fee ka, and i still do till this day lol. Tomato/banana.

  • @TheNewAndOffical Oh yeah. That game is freaking depressing at times. Poor poor Salsa.

  • hahaha i love the "subtle" hints at the big E :D youre a funny man, ill sub i like what im seeing :)

  • hey Roo do you use that USB controller if so where did you get it?

  • I have the t-shirt you're wearing in this review. It's one of 2 "Doctor Who"-related tees I own. :)
