Natural living expert, Sara Snow, highlights a family that's sowing a revolution right in their own back(front)yard. She explains how maintaining a perfect lawn is harmful to the environment and that there's an alternative to a typical "vainity" yard.
In this segment she'll show how the Dervaes family is making their yard both beautiful and productive at their L.A. urban lot. These self taught gardeners and urban eco-pioneers have cultivated an edible estate and sustainable urban homestead.

Are those pygmy goats? Have you considered lamas? They don't eat much, their wool is nicer, you can still get milk, and they make good pack animals. Whether out hiking, or hauling produce to a local market. Lastly, how much of the chicken's/ goats food do you produce?
