Whelen Hide-a-way LED System in a 2008 Cadillac Escalade Limo. We had to change our set up, originally we has 2 Whelen strobes installed in each headlight however after several months of usage the headlights melted so bad they had to be replaced. I guess the people at Cadillac never thought people would be installing strobes in the headlights. We choose to install the new Whelen Hide-a-way LED system and as you can see it works very well. Over all I am extremely impressed with the brightness of the LEDs. During the day they don’t seem quite as bright however at night I would say they match the strobes intensity. Just for the record the strobes we had installed before where running off a 180x8 Whelen power supply so that should give you a good reference regarding the brightness of these LEDs. The LED’s do way more patterns than the strobes. So if you are considering adding lights to your vehicle for whatever reason you can’t go wrong with this new system. Want to see them in person? Call Daytona Limos next time you need a limo at 800-296-1990 and you will get to see them first hand.

  • Thanks for the below comment we love to hear both postive and negative. We know there are some Limo Haters, but the majority of people are Limo Lovers. Thanks again for stopping by and dropping a comment. We also have more low key limos for those looking for less flash.

  • Thanks for the comments, most people love the LEDs in our Escalade Limo, however just like you said if they are not your style we don't have to turn them on. 95% of people we rent limos to in Florida love them.

  • Re question below, all of the Whelen systems are 12volt wired.

  • The comment was regarding the first Limo with the Whelen Hide-a-way LED System. Sure lots of limos have regular stobes but the LED system is very rare even still in 2011.

  • why do u need strobes in limos never got that?

  • @TractorWorld Why not, who really needs a 35 foot long Escalade? It just limo the lights are all for show and go

  • for anyone wondering why they'd put lights on it for, its for effect, to look flashy and attract attention "LOOK AT ME IN THE 40 FT ESCALADE I ROCK BITCHESSS!!" while drunk - nice light setup :D i approve

  • i'll buy that off you....

  • I'd love to see how long the exhaust is on this thing as well as the drive shaft.

  • Lol nice, it looks awesome! What grille is that? I have an escalade and I hate the factory grille on it, and the grille on the limo is awesome.

  • TACKY AS ALL FUCKING HELL. from bumper to bumper. I wouldn't ride in this GHETTO POS if it meant I had to walk TEN MILES to get there (and I could do it, too) This monstrosity is the perfect automotive example of a HUGE PIG running around with a gold ring in it's snout. Every stretch suv is for people who don't even have ANY taste whatsoever, even in their mouths.

  • FAG

  • I think it looks like shit and a big waste......if I rented it they'd never get used or turned on. It takes from the Cadillac brand. Maybe Mr. Carter can use it in his next viedo.....

  • U turns must suck
