Here is the latest official release of puppy 5.2 lupu,and mighty fine it is too,all or most of the bugs have been sorted out,so if you find one let them know,and there is also a new version of quickpet to give you all your needs for so much....nice
Now all you need to do is to just d/l the iso and see for yourself,as remember,puppy run's in ram most of the time,so no problem...

@MrJordiR this is because xp now needs 512 ram at a minimum just to run, try lubuntu first if you have never tried linux before

im having a presscott p4 2.66ghz running on 3.1ghz and 448ram now i have windows xp but if i have more than 2 programs open its slow as fuck so is this a good alernative
