  • Hi the center is the standard Hornby track mat 6 ft by 4 ft and the whole area including the track mat is 14 ft by 11ft 6 inches.

  • @jmsschooner - no, it's because it's by Lima. To their credit, Lima tried to market to as many countries as possible by making trains from those countries (Australian outline modelling would not be where it is today without Lima), but they haven't moved forward from the toy train paradigm with their loco mechanisms. Here's hoping that future Lima models from Hornby will be better.
