This is the team from Energy Insulation of Madison Mississippi demonstrating how to apply the recycled fiber insulation to a new wall. Three technicians are involved. The first applies the material, the second "Scrubs" the wall and the third is recycling the leftover unused product for use on another application. You can learn more about "greening" your home, retrofitting your insulation and making your home energy efficient by visiting the website at www.yourinsulationsolution.com. • It is slightly moist or damp when it goes on. There is a mixture ratio they use. It is just enough to make it tacky. It then dries in minutes to a consistency of like heavily compacted cotton. Whatever % falls to the floor gets recycled and put into the hopper to be used again. It is dry on the floor so it doesn't damage anything.

  • My house was built in 1961 and is a ranch. For those of you new to this process - it is really worth a good look. Energy Insulation is this company. If you want to learn more, call them. Google them in Ridgeland Mississippi or find them online. Talk to Rixon.

  • I do not OWN this company or work FOR this company. I shot the video during the installation. My comments are my comments. This stuff works. In my attic, it has created an insulation barrier from our harsh Mississippi heat. Yes, the heat is still in the top of the attic, but we do not have to run the air but REALLY about 50% of what we used to.

  • After almost 9000 views of my video, we have had some interesting thoughts. Let me say that this application was done in MY pantry (food storage) and in my attic. There are NO bugs. None.

  • @SeriouslyAaron they add a flame retardant called boric acid.. supposedly "about as harmful as table salt"

  • So how damp is the mixture, and what is the newspaper mixed with? How long does this take to dry? What type of blower is used, or how can one be made?

  • please come do my attic it is 140 degrees up their in hot florida summer

  • how do you get the cellulose to stick to the Wall?????

  • @SeriouslyAaron its a very good application to all firewalls when the insulation dry's it becomes very hard you could peel it out of the walls in a few months and have some bats its so badass.

  • that guys material is to dry tell'em to make so recylcle first.

  • Seems like it would be fairly flammable?
