This video features the car of ME, #64 Silver Shark. This is a prototype design that I basically made up and built using some simple airfoil techniques. You can find some pictures of my (losing) design on my FaceBook. Today I learned that it was not the aerodynamics that counted the most, but more how much friction you reduce on the tires. I really should have added graphite before the race and polished the tires (*used as is from the package), as well as spent more time on the axles, but it was my first pinewood car derby in over 30 years and I didn't know what to expect.
