HUEY + Assasinated for believing in + doing the right thing for the people ( for his own gain ) =
A corruption of the highest level in this country. The Corruption took Huey. It took JFK , Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy , others.
I read a book about Huey Long, he was a poor boy, salesman and then a politician who had a dream to make things better for Americans. Every Man A King...A Chicken In Every Pot ... Share The Wealth..." Like Hell " they were gonna share the wealth..They killed him

Nothing but a mouth-breathing, ignorant, drawl-crippled imbecile with too much charismatic sway over the moronic gentile electorate! Goyish stupidity never ceases to amaze! Thank G-d blessed Dr. Weiss had the courage to act and spare the world this buffoon's "leadership".

Bravo. Huey knows what he's talking about. The Left & Right wings are two wings on the same bird. Pay no attention to the bluster of the wings but instead keep your eye on the bird behind the wings. The flapping of the wings will change from time to time but the bird always stays on course. People get caught up in all the smoke & mirrors, but it's all just tricks & illusions. Really it's all a magic show & you are the audience. You break the spell (wake up) when you realise it's all just fakery.

I read his biography, and was both appalled and amazed by this man. Every Man a King No One Wears a Crown.

Every man a king.

He was a good speaker, and a powerful political boss. He may have helped Louisiana but he also helped himself to the public coffers. He had the police in Louisiana in his pockets to an extent greater than any politician during the Depression. FDR considered him dangerous as did most Republicans. Read a good biography to decide how good and how bad he was.

Abe Lincoln, Huey Long, JFK, RFK and MLK... No wonder Obama isn't governing like a true Progressive, every one we had before was murdered!

@IVXXX1718 Actually FDR said that the two most dangerous men in the country were Douglas McArthur and Senator Huey Long. They were dangerous to him and his rich friends. But, Senator Long was the wisest and bravest of all the politicians of his era. None of them cared for the poor. FDR had the US Army attack WWI veterans and homeless people in Central Park and in Washington DC. Many historians have made Huey Long look like a dictator. He was fixing a screwed up corrupt Louisiana.
A great man way ahead of his time. Naturally, when you help the poor and take from the rich to do it, you get assassinated. He built 3,000 miles of roads in LA, 111 bridges, gave out free text books which before him only the wealthy could afford, established free hospitals that are still in existance today, saw how corrupt Washington was and would have won the 1936 election. His Share the Weath Programs were all over the country. His last words," God, I can't die now, I have so much left to do."
