Just mucking around with a flame and slow mo on my Sony HDR-XR100.
Taken in Slow Motion mode @ 240fps, then edited to further slow it down to 33%.
240fps + 160fps = 400fps.
It's about the slowest you can get it, without it loosing it's smoothess.

  • @bloodwiper This was done on a SONY HD-XR100. Using the Slow-Motion (smooth slow record), this camcorder records at 240 fps under this mode. It was re-edited again using VideoStudio Pro X2 choosing to slow down the capture by another 66% (it shows on the software as 33%)

So in short, this capture is approx 3 times slower than what it actually would be filmed naturally on Smooth Slow Record mode.

Under the "Movie" blue button, click "SMTH SLW REC", and make sure you have great lighting.

  • Hey how did you get the slow motion mode all the way to 240 fps, because mine only has 60 fps is their some firm ware update?
