The militant rebel group Tamil Tigers were dealt a severe blow early Friday when their political chief S.P. Tamilselvan was killed in an air strike launched by the Sri Lankan government.
Sri Lanka's Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa warned the Tamil Tigers that their leaders and hide-outs were no longer safe. Rajapaksa told the AP "This is a message that we know their leaders' location. This confirms that our information is very accurate."
Although many tamils reportedly rejoiced when some of Sri Lanka's political leaders were assasinated by the LTTE, we will not. A misguided individual who followed his masters foot steps and turned into a virulent assasin has died the way he chose to. I hope in his next life, he will will not repeat the mistakes of his now extinguished life.
