  • I used to see him at my high school dances around 1971.

  • So did I. I saw him at Malcolm Campbell High School in Montreal in 1971. A few days afterwards it was anounced at the school that Mahogany Rush would not be allowed to play at the school again because they were "TOO LOUD" !!! LOL

  • A Huge Influence on Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix , no doubt about it!!!

  • Perhaps the baddest ass to ever put a guitar around his neck!

  • @tmgermann No, EXTREMELY underrated!!!

This guy blew away Ace Frehely back in 75...

Blew away Van Halen back in 80...

Ran circles around the prog-rockers in 85...

Blew away the generic crop of speed shred crappers in 90...

Outplayed the crop of grunge wannabe's in 95...

went note for note with the metal shredders in 00...

STILL THE BADDEST ASS TO TAKE A 6-STRING TO AN AUDIENCE IN 30+ YEARS!!!

  • Wheres moon walk???

  • Wow! Nice vibe! Hardly blues :-)

  • I still prefer listening to Mahogany Rush more than the shit these bands are putting out now ...........to many to list, I don't want to offend anybody but it is what it is !

  • He was the warm up band for Kansas Monolith tour, Hartford Ct 1979

  • people say he just ripped off hendrix.i saw hendrix 3 times, there are some similar sounds, thats fair, but the vibe, the musical personnality if your will

    TOTALLY,TOTALLY DIFFERENT

    hendrix had a mood that was...well manic depressive,bi-polar we would say nowadays;

franks musical spirt is TOTALLY VICTORIOUS

and.lets be honest, as great as hendrix was.and he was. he never had anywhere near these chops

  • Sleeping monsters wake to a blitskrieg rain, and beautiful egyptian eternity angles as always... untowardly descending that doom o' staircase and back up again - what just went by? A completely delicious wunderkind....

  • Frank and Uncle Ted used to have guitar battles back in the early days, talk about early shredders!
