@cdhgoalie30 True, but he wants the lights to flash to the activity of the hard drive... So when you load or save, it flickers. The way you said is just always on when the xbox is on.

@cdhgoalie30 THAT'S WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GOING TO SAY. ALSO IT WILL LOOK BETTER EVEN IF IT CANT BE SEEN WHEN CLOSED.

Thanks, I used this video as a reference when I was figuring out my lights. I posted my video as a response so people can see the result.

@crashtester009 dont listen to him the yellow puts out 5.3 volts and yes i confirmed it with a volt meter while it was connected and powered up. and you Will need a resistor.

@cdhgoalie30 whoah whoah whoah negative, use a multimeter if you need to but the red wire carries +5V and the yellow is +12V

I can't fucking understand this not one video is telling me what I need to know ok all I know is something with the yellow wire
Hey man there is an easier way to do this... you take the yellow and black wire from the attachment one the hard drive. strip the wires. black is ground, yellow is 5v. Than you solder wires onto each of the wires. cover with electrical tape so you dont short circuit it. Than attach the LEDs to each end of the wire. and you have your hard drive done.
