Yes, we should praise Rafi who is "bemisaal" but let's not forget Naik Datta and especially, Sahir. No way, without his poetry, this song will be this soulful and as someone said here, for all eternity. Sahir was unbelievably gifted - one side, he wrote "Woh subha kabhi to ayegi" - the culmination of a societal dream and on the other, "Chalo ekbar, ajnabi ban jaye hum dono" - the height of romanticism. Who else can achieve such feat?
