Snap Fitness, based in the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen, MN, is a fast-growing franchisor of compact, state-of-the-art 24/7 fitness centers in Canada and the United States.
We offer franchisees a proven, affordable business model that enables absentee ownership, and we provide members a fast, convenient and affordable workout alternative to oversized, overpriced and overcrowded health clubs.
Our facilities feature 24/7 access, cardio and strength-training equipment that set industry standards, value-add fitness services not available at comparable clubs and a safe, secure environment.
Our progressive, member-friendly policies include the elimination of contracts (members pay month-to-month), the ability to freeze memberships for up to three months annually and freedom to use any Snap Fitness club in North America.
In 2007, Franchise Market Magazine ranked us America's No. 1 new franchise, Entrepreneur listed us No. 1 "Best in Category" for 2009 and the editors of Success chose us as one of "10 Franchises We Love."
@tillymaster44 Snap Fitness is an excellent gym. Every gym has trainers who walk up and say something to you, because they need clients. You can deadlift, squat, bench as much as you want. I've thrown 100 pound dumbbells on the ground and nobody says anything. If you are trying to make an earthquake sound, well yeah expect to get kicked out. It's a gym not a zoo.

@Priverius I know!! Everybody acts like I'm just trying to badmouth Snap - that has nothing to do with it!! Another stupid thing is no contracts... Isn't getting in shape all about commitment??

You're right, that whole life alert business is a sham. An ambulance couldn't possibly get to someone quick enough. Has Life Alert ever saved anyone's life? What? It has? Oh well forget my ignorant comment I must be a 15 year old idiot who has no idea of the real world.

In the past I've been a member of Gold's Gym, Planet Fitness, 24 Hr Fitness, Spectrum Club and a local muscle head gym. (With the exception of Spectrum Club), Snap Fitness is the only one where I could get a workout in without having to wait in line for machines and equipment. I also didn't have to deal with the meat/muscle heads grunting and sweating. Let them stay at their meat head gyms. Also, the place is constantly monitored.

@SuicidalPandaz It doesn't matter, it's not the same as having employees there. By the time someone would get to someone who had a heart attack or stroke they could very well be dead, especially an elderly person. But people are not always famous for liking good ideas, so I say give them what they want. If you can make money off the idiots go for it!!

@stevehauk they have cameras set up and people supervising 24/7

this gym is a fucking joke. guarantee id slap around a huge deadlift and get kicked out, or have some faggy little personal trainer come up and tell me im gunna hurt myself. gyms like this are a joke. dont go to any place like this if you want to get strong, infact avoid any gym with the word "fitness" in its name. probably not allowed chalk or squatting more then 2 plates either. what a joke

I went to snap fitness for a full year. The gym is ok but theres not much option for lifters n such. More of a womens gym or a fat guy tryin to lose weight. I did like the fact that you can go whenever you like cause you have the swipe card. My snap gym was never that busy too so there was no pressure from other people to finish my sets. overall id say 7/10
