Koyunbaba by Carlo Domeniconi

One of my favorite pieces.

To those who actually know how to play Koyunbaba: I know that this is not the entire piece and a lot of my fingerings are suboptimal. I also rushed a little bit in order to make sure I don't exceed the 10 minute limit that youtube imposes on me.

I am not a proffesional and learned Koyunbaba by myself in a scarcity of time. In my opinion, Koyunbaba's essence does not lie in playing accurately each note in the sheet music, but in its general feel because it is a song based on harmony and improvization (Even Carlo Domeniconi plays it very different from his own sheet music!). I hope to change my fingerings and learn the missing parts in the future.

I've heard the John Williams version of this piece, which I love so much...it is one of the favorites in my collection. But this is beautiful, as well...you really feel this piece and have made it yours. Your right hand tone is quite beautiful and your phrasing of the piece is excellent, too.  This is probably one of the most difficult guitar compositions there is to play...at least I'd guess so. I hope you keep playing this.
