The guy playing V's doing the best he can with what he's got, but it's obviously painful for him. IMO, it'd be easier for a girl to sound androgynous than a guy. (Most of the time, anyway.)

Nale referred to Vaarsuvius as "He" in one comic then remarks that Vaarsuvius has no definite gender a few comics afterwards.
