@bizeelizzie1 Usually the doctor will have written orders in the Kardex to administer oxygen at 2 Liters per minute via nasal canula if oxgen saturation drops less than 91% on room air for people with chronic respiratory conditions. If the oxygen saturation is less than 95% in a person that has no written oxygen parameters in the Kardex and/or does not have chronic respiratory condition, you should assess LOC, lung sounds, breathing pattern & vitals, put on O2 at 2L NC or 4L mask & call the MD.

i think these r very interesting but i would like to no is if the oxy sat level drops how low is it allowed togo before oxygen theraphy is used 92/93/94?
