This is my old outback. It is in such great shape for having 180,000+ miles.

  • ..the scoop is functional. and the vents are as well.

they "go" to anything because the covers are on them under the hood..

  • @fapposkid

Actually they aren't because if you look on the under side of the hood there are plastic covers blocking the air flow to the engine. The are just for show.

  • dog instead of the new outback sport annnd this one...why dont you just buy an 06/07 STi???? lol

  • i live up north in new hampshire and some of the roads are dirt and the sti would bottom out too much

  • 158 hp? try 142. the leak for the rear wiper is somewhat an easy fix, just open the hatch and take off the rubber boot, upper left between hatch and car. my washer line came apart there, just plugged them back together and it's good as new

  • my mistake with the hp. i had my subaru dealer fix the washer line. they charged me around $25! i geuss i should have tried to fix it myself.

  • @LarryDavidFreak The metal* covers are removable if you wish the convert them to functionality.

  • beautiful car man!

  • @fapposkid Really? I did not know that. And I have one.

  • Nice car my friend. I have the same one. but green and I have an aftermarket muffler on it.

  • Subarus are well known to be good solid dependable cars when they are well taken care of. I want a '99 Outback Sport in fire-engine-red.

  • Just picked up a '97, 176kmi., Outback. Sometimes I think DOHC is overkill for street engines, unnecessary complexity. But, if the owner is up for the maintenance, it appears to be capable of high miles. The gasket issue is a crap shoot. I've read one in seven had issues.

  • the covers can come off = functional

  • haha...of course its going to start up in 50 degree weather...they only have slight issues in like 14 to the negatives...but theyll still start in that weather.
