Change the buffer size to the smallest value possible, so that it's as fast as possible, but without crackling. If you hear crackling, you should increase the buffer size. Note that if you use more VSTi's, you might to increase your buffer size (so your delay will increase too).

Your sound card probably has no or very slow ASIO drivers. The delay is only when you control PC-apps, right? You have to buy an expensive pro sound card, or install ASIO4ALL. That's a driver for all sound cards that allows you to lower the delay significantly. I got my delay from 1s+ to 17ms. After the program is installed, you should use it as your DAW program's MIDI-output.

Hey do you think you can help me? I have a 49e but I have a bad delay when I hit a key till I hear sound. Athlon 64FX51 PC SB Audigy 2 2048MB RAM I doubt it is my PC nice playing by the way.

what are you playing in? what program you using, what software? is the audio buffer way up?
