Sure, it was SIMILAR, but not a copy. The fact that the plane had 4 engines at the back does not make it a copy at all. The il-62's wing set up was completely different. In fact, opposite to this planes.
@MrJheberle Yes I agree. A beautiful looking aircraft out of its time - and still the best, even by today's standards. My dad used to work on the "Super VC10s" at Heathrow (Internal Block A) and he used to take me around to look at them in the hangar. WOW. Years later (1971) I bought one, but I had to put it together myself - Vickers stopped making them, but "Airfix" still continued.
Brilliant. I used to travel on those as a kid to Africa. Can you tell me what camera you had for that shoot. Im having problems trying to use h.d. Cheers.
