Requirements for Kaathe to appear:
Kill the Four Kings in New Londo Ruins AFTER and/or BEFORE getting the Lordvessel

Warning: DO NOT talk to Frampt in Firelink Shrine after getting the Lordvessel, otherwise Kaathe will disappear.

Have in mind that Frampt (the other serpent in Firelink Shrine) will disappear from your playthrough as well if you decide to talk to Kaathe first.

Most people seem to believe that what Kaathe says is the truth, and almost all that Framp says is lies. But really, where IS the exact proof of this? The endings are REALLY ambiguous, and at first I even interpreted what happened in the "Link the Fire" ending as the process of ascension for the main character to become a god.

Thanks for this vid. I actually did this on my NG, i didnt even see the serpent in firelink lol i thought this was the way to go. And i had forgotten all his dialouge and was wondering about the damn pygmy

So, the percieved "bad'' ending is actually the good ending and vice versa then...pretty interesting stuff.

@MichelKobayashi One good thing that would come from porting the game to PC version would be the ability to dissect the code of the game, and really be able to get down to the bottom of it.

@MichelKobayashi Sounds very possible that is the case. Bummer. Well, hopefully the director comes out at some point and says that... because you know as well as I do there are some people that will not stop looking for this secret...

@scott71785 So I guess the director thought that the Pendant really was something important gameplay-wise, but the developers forgot to tell him that they didn't include it in the game? Yeah... I dunno, this is the only conclusion I came up with because it sounds logical to me.
