Typical socialist hogwash. Socialism doesn't create wealth like capitalism does. Wealth is used too solve all kinds of problems. I'm pretty sure our imperialistic nature (ie: Wars, country building, ext.) put us in the hole. Also, our spending on frivolous projects and selling government contracts to political contributers rather than the lowest bidder has alot to do with it. The government has, and should allocate money towards things, like roads, that has helped out. During the great depression the government did the same thing, and by paying Americans to build all these things, helped turn the economy around.
