i lost 10lbs from 2 days water fasting,when i started eating again i only put 3lbs back on 6 weeks on and im still 7lbs lighter,didnt lose any strength in the gym and didnt appear to have lost fat but my gut feels so light and less bloated its amazing,even 36 to 48 hours off food can do you the world of good.

He lost me when he said you have to be under medical supervision ! Really? I'm sure every can afford to go to some uber expensive new age doctor just so he can tell you something even the pheasants knew ages ago.

@alneff This is not bogus...ive done 45 water only fasts ....nothing whotever to do with a vegatarian diet....study water only fasting, i hope it helps your daughter to get better..

@illidin25 This is not (True Fasting) Ramadan means you can still eat certain times of the day... Water Fasting (Water only) Is a serious fast!!!! No comparison..NO FOOD!!!

@roygib09 - don't worry about losing weight water fasting. Especially if you're only doing 3 days. As soon as you start eating again, all the weight will come flying back on

how do you water fast without losing weight, i already weigh 115, im just trying to get my blood pressure down and finally rid myself of blood pressure meds, thinking about going on a water fast for like 3 days and see how i feel.
Water fasting is legit. I started doing it regularly for religious/spiritual reasons and soon discovered very positive effects on my physical well-being.

I did a 7-day common fast (no food, just water, no pills, vits, meds). the bumpy patch under my skin went from 2 inches wide to 1 inch and the shapes went from pea gravel to pop rocks. I would do it again.
