so heres whats happening, im going to start customizing my bike into something made of awesome, and i want your help, look at what i have to work with and tell me what should i change, even if its obvious, if you see something you dont like on the bike, leave a comment what it is and what youd like to see it changed to...help me out people.

Late response but :

Take the front ferring off - disacard $0

Get rid of the cargo rack and back seat rack $0

New tires $300

Paint Gas tank black. or silver -Take off yamaha Emblem $30-$900

Polish the aluminum $10

Use sea foam to clear your engine and carbs $10

Use tinting spray to make red back light into smoke black $10

get rid of the handle bar hanging leather

I have same bike. There is something about this bike I like although I never ride it anymore and its in storage.Googluck

already used seafoam when i first got it, front fairing is going to come off when i get a clear windshield and a new casing for the head light, tires are a deffenet must right now, been wanting to paint the tank, just dont have the funds for everything i need yet, not sure if the smoke black cover would be legal here, love my handle bar grip covers though, and the cargo rack is already gone, been off for a while now, im trading it for some nice buffalo leather bags.

I just bought one of these bikes its a 750 maxim. Q: do you think theirs a bubble shield out their for this model i do like the cafe racer style ? anyone this is one sick bike folks.

I think you should turn it into a bobber like my son's bike (in my vid's). It was pretty easy and what we've done so far has been super cheap. Also a flat black paint job would look awesome.

I'm looking at a 82 maxim 750 also, 11,000 mile's a fixer upper for 600.00, need's front blinker's, battery, carbs cleaned etc, not a bad deal for 600.00 you think! As far as your bike clean it up and ride it like you stole it dude!!!

Bleh I had a 'bubbly' one on mine when I got it.  Hideous. Too many curves. I had to break it off in peices because the jackass who installed it used the wrong hardware, and I couldn't undo it.

@buckblackhoof , youtube this: xj 650 cafe racer and look at the windshield it has. look at the wheels they resemble the maxim type but my question was: were could i find one of these cafe racer type windshields for a maxim? any help thanks great bike..!!

how did you guys mount it? they have those hooks on the back which if i was to cut it up it wouldnt hook on anymore....not sure what to do there.
