  • Tell What You Think! In my opinion, if Holland Dozier Holland had remained with Motown, Motown would have dominated the music industry atleast ten more years! This quality of music demonstrates the talent Motown lost with the departure of Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Eddie Holland.

Great selection by Freda Payne; a Great Detroit talent. Thanks for posting.

  • @immioche An interesting comment! You are SO WELCOME!

  • This song is a classic for Freda Payne along with "Through The Memory Of My Mind" and has great harmonies.

  • So glad you like this classic by Freda and that you notice the superb backup vocals supporting this tender, charming ballad. Thanks!

  • Love, love this song. I fell in love with Freda during the early 70s. This song and so many others she recorded for Invictus Records (Holland Dozier Holland) record company, I couldn't help but fall in love with the songs she was putting out after Band Of Gold became a hit. Freda was their girl for that company at that time.

  • A wonderful, hearty and endearing song by Freda Payne this surely is!I'm touched each and every time I hear this tender ballad!Thank you for your comment!

  • @immioche Absolutely agree with you. The qualitity of their songs suffered and the songs which were good to brilliant didn't reach the chart positions that they would have reached have they stayed with Motown.

By the way, Freda is excellent and deserved a much longer chart career.

  • When you listen to Freda Payne after all this time it just shows how her voice has stood the test of time Its sounds as good today as it did way back when
