From the Thai-Burma border to distant third countries far away. Choosing to go to a far off country where language, culture, and ethics/morals will be very different than they are accustomed to is a very real dilemma. This is more an abstract representation of that reality... not a scholarly study on immigrating to a third country and all those ramifications.
You have everything in Burma. Natural gas beautiful nature gems and other natural resources and plenty tourist attractions. Super nice people. The whole thing is being exploited by the Burmese Junta. And no money is seeping to ordinary nice folks like for example the very heart warm Karén People who I love very much for their mentality. From Tomas, Danish living in North Thailand. I have several nice Karén and Thai Yai friends up here. Go for Aung San Suu Kyi and democracy. Or make your own st.

Why do you think otherwise?? : ) It seems like if you all are careful and manage things well, Burma has an abundance of rivers, creeks, and fresh water.
Best regards, J.
