  • Mandatory elbow pads OR No fight stoppage due to bleeding. Even a 1/8 inch thick rubber material like running shoe soles would work.

Mandatory standing up of fighters after 30 seconds on the ground. Start a timer when they hit the ground.

  • Interesting point of view...might as well watch boxing I guess. I think standing a guy up after 30 seconds isn't a great idea. Of course, some people want to see KOs only and don't like the ground aspect....that's why there is K1 or boxing...not mma.

  • WTF? 30 seconds? You are an ignorant bastard who has no appreciation or understanding of the ground game whatsoever. To suggest that MMA should devolve back to its prehistoric days before the Royce Gracie phenomenon is ridiculous.

  • @TechniquePrevails

Seeing you comment on this interview adds even more legitimacy to this interview, for me. I am a big fan of your posts, and keep a lot of your techniques in written form in my training room for reference; I also practice them regularly and with my training partners.

Anyone not familiar with TechniquePrevails, I highly recommend dude's no-nonsense approach and teaching style. Take a look for your selves. More knowledge than I could learn in a life time!

    Peace

  • I think it's time for a super heavy weight devision in MMA. The weight range within the heavy weight devision is too great. It's unlike any other weight group. Just one opinion.

  • lol about the gogoplata...that would be funny

  • HACK!!!!!

  • Great interview! Thanks Ari.

Proud to be part of the Pit Ohana!

  • I certainly appreciate the kind words that both Ari and John shared about TrainFightWin. Both are true professionals and experts in their perspective fields, and the knowledge that they are imparting into the world of Mixed Martial Arts is second to none.

  • The 5 second ko from Glover was killer.

  • Cheers for posting the interview :-)
