i read on wikipedia that deleted videos on youtube are not necessarily physically deleted. they are flagged as deleted, causing them to disappear, but they can be retrieved as long as they are not physically removed.

so it might still be possible to download those vids. i dont know if its legal, or if it helps, or if it is possible in this case.

anyway, thanks for making this video.

I have original copies of all the videos I have made on my computer. I would be surprised if there aren't original copies of all the videos that were on YouTube safely archived on the server where the website richarddawkins (dot) net is located.

While I haven't used it myself, I have a link to a website that is supposed to allow downloading of videos from suspended sites. You are right, they are apparently not removed physically immediately. Let me know if you want the link.

as far as i can tell all the videos on rationalresponse are in their proper place and running...

but richarddawkinsnet really is offline. i have it in my subscriptions, but its an empty folder now.
