Yeaaaaaaaaah
Trying to leave earth using only solid rockets and default modules, managed to reach 467km in altitude. I had a larger rocket with 120+ engines but it was extremely unstable and the welds kept breaking.

This is badass on so many levels.
The feat of launching into orbit using ONLY SRB's is Epic.
Adding the song to the video? Well that is just awesome sauce.
The son adds so much to this, I can watch this over and over again.
"Telstar" was a great song, I listened to it a lot as a kid and this brings back a lot of good memories.

@Rickenbacker69 As the KSP game continues to develop this achievement really becomes more and more impressive. Does the rocket even Work with the new versions I wonder? And honestly, how long did it take you to design this to keep it from simply blowing up on start?
I tried to replicate this on my own, and well, met with less then stellar success :P

@Crossroadsinc Well, it didn't make it into orbit, but from the looks of it it could have if he'd pitched over. Hard to control your orbital parameters with only solids, though :).
