  • Nice John! I have got to learn that tune.

  • Thanks for that. Have you got the music? I could get it to you via the Mandolin Cafe site, perhaps, though I am sure it will be on The Session site too.

  • Thanks for your kind words. Sound was recorded using Reaper software and has mandolin, octave and guitar tracks recorded then rendered to mp3 in Reaper. Video done on Windows Movie Maker, filmed on a Fuji compact camera (not a video camera) and the sound was muted from the camera recording and the mp3 file added. i played about on the timeline facility to sync video and audio and am still very much a beginner at the video side of things. Captions/credits also from Movie Maker.

  • Nice picking! I play this tune also and have thought about posting it. I think you've inspired me to do so. Curious to know how you put this vid togather -- its nice and tight. 5 stars!

  • I don't think I'll need music for that one. It's not so fast that I can't pick it out by ear. I find I can memorize a lot faster when I learn something by ear instead of the dots. I let you know if I run into a problem once I start working on it.
