Church of Scientology supporters have lashed out violently outside a court house today.

One of Scientology's most senior members faced court today on charges relating to perverting the course of justice.

As the accused left the court house, a scuffle between her supporters and a Today Tonight reporter ensued.

@7tilsleep What do you mean "portraying"? These ARE scientologists...and that doesnt make me "twisted" to not want them around. Does it make me twisted to not want Westboro Baptist Church members around? What about muslims who call for the death of all people that are not of their faith? In fact I think you are twisted if you think they deserve anything. Sure they don't "kill" people, but seeing videos like this sure dont make me want to have a compassion for anything they believe.

One may consider this commentary an entirely spurious knock against freedom of religion, but this can be possible only if one is unfamiliar with the tenets of Scientology, one is staggeringly stupid or, if the latter, one is a Scientologist. Assuming the first case, one should be aware that the essential premise of Scientology is that we are all actually extra-terrestrials, and also dead.
