http://www.vermiculturenorthwest.com This is the last video of the series - Setting Up A Worm Bin. Take a look at the bin after less than a month. Working from the top down, I believe the worms were diving. Next peek we will start at the bottom and work up to see where the worms are.

  • how did you get them so fat mine are only like pencils yours are like markers

  • @pitbull0592 These are European Nightcrawlers. They are a cousin to the E.F. They are bigger.

  • I love these worms :) Best pets ever. I am glad you seem to love the worms as much as I do, yours are much healthier looking than mine currently.

  • I do LOVE my worms. The never cease to amaze me how they turn my garbage into gardeners gold. Stay tuned for more amazing footage. I'm just getting started.

  • @cruff93154 they look to big to be red wigglers. what are they ??

  • Can those big worms work their way up they seem to fat for the little holes thanks for the nice video. also I just order a worm factory it did not arrive yet when it does ill order my worms i'm not sure what ones to get the big worms seem to be fine.

  • I think you readed it wrong... They actually like a lot more wet than red wiglers. They use them in Europe to treat wet waste from water treatment. That's why they're all there on your colection tray... Beacause is wet!

On my Worm farm I keep my Euros with the spigot open and make sure every three days when I feed them I have about a cup of liquid and I trow back to the system. My are as fat and happy as yours and they love it WET...

Try and see... Great video bt the way... Congratulations.

  • They do look healthy. My guess is that some of those in the collection tray went there shortly after being added to the factory (settling in) and couldn't get out easily. The newer 360 version makes that easier for them. The rest probably worked down there to find more space food (Euro's tend to live deeper in soil than Red Wigglers - 1-6 inches makes them comfortable).

To faten up worms on table scraps, try adding plain corm meal. Works great and in short order, cheap too! $150 a bag.

  • Hi Christy love the videos thank you. Just started viewing & only got up to part 4 but will be watching them all today. Is there any food scraps one doesn't place into the farm? I know a couple of products, but what items NOT to add would be on your high risk list/ harmful? Many thanks.

  • @cruff93154 i know that even my euros are only as thick as a pencil i dont raise red wigglers i raise fishing worms(tiger worms, euro nightcrawlers and super reds) they dont grow as fat as yours look or is it just the camera

  • i don't think the worms can eat their own castings. could it be that the worms are trying to escape the wetness of the 2nd tray or that they don't have enough food so they are trying to find more?

i have seen some videos where there is only one level where the worms live until they've eaten everything in the bin then another is added on top so that the worms will migrate into the new bin leaving their castings behind.

  • did you raise those on manure too with addition to the newspaper
