Hammond In., Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr intimidation phone call to 18 yr old.AVI

This voice mail message was left by Hammond, Indiana Mayor and Lake County Democratic Party Chairman, Thomas McDermott Jr's. Mayor McDermott, was running for his 2nd term in office, made this call in an effort to intimidate an 18 year old mayoral primary opponent.

The opening comments are made by Wess Miller, a local community activist. The introductory comments and voice mail give some flavor regarding Thomas McDermott Jr. thought process or lack of.

During the referenced Mayoral election, McDermott's opposition came within 400 votes of winning the election. The opposing candidate had a campaign war chest of $3,000.

McDermott Jr., is A Notre Dame Law School Graduate and licensed Indiana attorney.

Wow. What a wimp! Straight out of Daley's playbook! I'd like to vote Democrat, but I can't vote for McDermott after watching this. ...Any thoughts about a good replacement?
