Reminds me of whenever my cat gets on the table. I tell her to get down and she decides to lay on the table and sleep. Cats are great pets but... they sure as Hell don't like to listen.

This is my theory on the "changes of Spot". I would say that Data has owned three cats, however, because he lacks an imagination, he called all of them "Spot".

This is such a hilarious clip! I'm new to TNG but already Data is my favorite. Maybe it's because he is so vulnerable to these amusing occurences...

Spot: "Meow."
Data: "Hmm?"
Spot: "Meow!"
Data: "Hm." (gets ball of string for demanding kitty)
