After a heavy night of drinking in Fukuoka. Started packing around noon on thursday to go to Nagasaki. Huis ten Bosch is a massive park which has complete replicas of dutch buildings, streets, boats, windmills, etc. I could not believe my eyes upon arrival, the Japanese truly took the time to perfect dutch architecture. Walking through the park I have to say that some look even better than the original. The park had many random hotels all over the place and a private (dutch-styled) bungalow park for Japanese people to have an actual vacation and are able to experience living in Holland while being in Japan. Very crafty I may add.

For cool pictures from Huis ten Bosch check my Blog:

Some highlights of the park were definitely the; kinderdijk (slaper, dromer, waker), goudase kaasmarkt, nieuwstad, mauritsplein, friesland, binnenstad, prince-willem alexander plein, het stadhuis, spakenburg complete with boats, domtoren and of course huis ten bosch with its beautiful art gallery and garden. It surprised me that it was very quiet in the park, there were barely any people, most people were students and elderly. Maybe due to the current typhoon that is sweeping Japan or maybe because the vacation period is over.

Students and other visitors were very excited when they spotted me, they kept taking pictures and wanted to know why I was visiting Huis ten bosch. I didn't notice any other foreigners either. Due to all the excitement I almost didn't catch the train back to Hakata which was crucial in order to catch the last Shinkansen (aka bullet train) to Osaka.
