@Otageemeur I thought the ending was kinda weak, GK1 had a much better final section and ending. But yeah, incredible game and the best in the series.

@demonsangells It's an incredible game. The acting can be, errr, cheesy and hammy lol but it really is an amazing game especially chapter 5.

@Otageemeur I felt moved by the Von Glower part aswell... but then, I liked him aswell. Was a bit sad. I raged a little when I learned that he's the black wolf. :D

What a perfect ending sequence! Strangely enough, I felt emotionally moved when Von Glower is looking at you when he is dying... Moreover the scene between Gabriel and Grace at the end is so cute, I especially love the message delivered in this ending... And the music, oh Robert Holmes you are a genius!

I'm guessing that this is an adventure game that uses real actors in cut scenes. Damn it looks so rediculous, though I've heard that it's a good game, I wouldn't be able to play it because I would be laughing throughout the entire game :p

@sarasmilepiano also I never did play Phantasmagoria...I always wanted to though just to see if it's so-bad-it's-good. I haven't played Gray Matter yet either but from what I have read it sounds slightly disappointing. Sales wise it has sold 13k worldwide which I guess is why no-one makes these games anymore..

@sarasmilepiano I would say the golden age of games in general has long past. There was love and obvious passion put into games in say the late 90s and before and we had companies like Black Isle and Looking Glass and the adventure genre still strong. whereas now its more about the buck and mainstream titles. Hey as long as it looks flashy thats all that matters right..gaming doesn't really interest me these days. Could you imagine say planescape torment being released today. would never happen.

@dageezerboi Never tried Pandora Directive, but you're right that most FMV games were not very good at the time. One such game, Phantasmagoria, lacked a lot of the things that GK2 had: plot, great acting (and writing), music, engaging puzzles, etc. Sadly, companies such as Sierra are now defunct and adventure gaming (is now a niche market that total sales barely exceeds production costs. The golden age of Sierra-Lucas-Cyan is gone, and I do miss it terribly.

@sarasmilepiano There were only 2 FMV games I liked. This and The Pandora Directive. Both brilliant, all other FMV games should be destroyed on sight most were so awful.
I really liked GK1 but I also found it hard to get into at first. Whereas GK2 had the perfect difficulty of puzzles, GK1 had some frustratingly difficult ones (the writing on the tomb, the clock, the rada drum code). It did have some amazing scenes towards the end of the game though and a pretty good story as well..
lol This one scene always makes me cry...heh. Gotta hate it when a good game ends.
