They can learn to talk on command but you must put the effort to teach them. Whenever your bird says a word that you like, tell it good and reward it right away. Eventually, you can add a cue before he says it and when he does, reward him again. Repeat this several times and your bird will learn to talk on cue. Check out my video, I have an amazon that talks on command.

They can talk on command, you just have to be patient and know what you're doing. Some birds never learn to talk, and some are just too stubborn to do it on command. Hope this helped.

Larry has very nice coloring!! He seems comfortable out of his cage and really seems to enjoy that string bean!! Give him another one he dropped it!! :-)
