thanks for putting the studio version up; i hear live versions of it all the time on their Sirius sat station when i am checking in on what's playing there; they play it a lot and or course many of the live versions are awesome but overall i missed out on this song when i was listening to them in the seventies; i mistook it for a classic folk ballad; am sure am not the first one this band done that to...ha ha

In the late 70's I played this album literally hundreds of times. Yeah this is studio stuff but anyway I really liked all those old albums and there were so many great tracks on this one. And Donna vocals.

robert hunter has written too many songs I love for me to even try to list a favorite but there are so many lines in this song that are so magically and vaguely evocative...lord...if I can write one song even close to this caliber before I die.... :-))
