Part of the National Theatre of Scotland's Five Minute Theatre 21st-22nd June, 2011.
It's the Sunday morning entrails of a fancy dress party - theme, Smart Bastards from History. In a room, in a flat, somewhere in the West Coast of Scotland. Ally, dressed as Adam Smith, is lining up the amphetamine from the previous night, and reminding Manda that James Wiper fell into the river dressed as Mary Queen of Scots. Manda is sure that something big happened last night, but she can't remember what. Lara, as Flora Macdonald, enters the room at which point Bobby wakes up from under a pile of coats. He reminds them of the big thing that Manda can't quite recall -- the Netherlands invaded Britain the day before following a UN resolution. Britain is officially a failed state that has turned against its people. Bobby is aghast that Ally and Lara are planning to carry on the party when war has just broken out. Lara reckons that being conquered may not be such a bad idea, and anyway, Ally has already taken her next line. Super Sunday anyone?

This is a cracking wee piece of theatre! It thought it was a brilliant concept really well acted and presented by the complete cast and crew. Also, Hannah, you were fabulous in the 'Age of Arousal'! Well done, all of you. :) Best wishes, Aileen
