What I can gather from ZFT. Here's the transcript:

The other is as determined as we are and is never to be underestimated in his intention to destroy us. Who are those who are to fight? What is the selection process? Is it a natural phenomenon or is it a construct of further arrogance on the part of humanity.

Something the last. Both. Neither.

Humanity is naught but the collection of its moments and the sum of its parts. That some may be used to counter others is as natural a selection process as the lion and the gazelle, Homo-Sapien and Cro-Magnon. In this there is comfort should it be needed. This is not a war of hatred and anger. It is a battle of survival.

Thus the soldier to come is both natural and, fairly unnatural. A monster to his enemy and a hero, possibly a god to his charge. Do not underestimate the feelings that victory will instill in both savior and saved, either. This is a thought to be covered later. The questions for now is what is the Soldier and what is the Recruit.

The former is the culmination of millennia and days both. The time to develop the intellect is beyond imagination, yet the preparation for the exorcize of it is measured in cooperative nanoseconds. The latter is the clay from which the other is formed, a potential without release until the training and revealing has been enacted. But even that will not happen without the preparation of science. This is the conundrum of our knowledge. This is part of the mystery of what we are about to do.
In all of history, only a few bloodlines have been found to be ready for the work of our body. Only very few of those of the right lines are capable of dealing with the responsibility and fewer still are able to field the weapons of their

I realised ep2 sort of had a link to the whole Soldier thing, when Walter mentioned that he once tried to create soldiers by giving the ageing drug to turn young boys into 21 year old men. Initially I thought he meant creating soldiers for war but not in such a way. What a revelation. :)

we are closer to find the real identity about the cosmic priest and his final smlumber acurred milenia ago, what we need to do? is become ourselves recruits and later gave birth to the soldiers, so acomplish the original design.

Thank you isixecho / josher. It reminds me of the bible, a new species, a chimera hybrid, which some companies are experimenting just the GeNome Project of the 1960s as well as incidents like on Fringe.

I in particular like Fringe because of these hidden messages, like people on the inside are sending us coded messages of the apocalypse, just like on the Simpsons with 9_11. I remember finding a coded message via fibinocci sequence last year and got to a website about the pandemic and aliens.

Cro-Magnon were homo sapiens, the term is rarely used now, with 'early modern human' used in it's place.

I love the show, but that point should be made.

I think the author meant to refer to H. Neanderthalis.
