The music that plays on the title screen of the Sega Genesis game
"Spot Goes to Hollywood".

This tune also plays in the last level of the 3rd world, named "The Mine Cart Ride".

In the Mine Cart Ride level, it's just that: You're in a mine cart and you have to tilt right and left and jump at certain times in order to succeed and move on.
It's a lot like a 3D version of the Donkey Kong Country mine cart levels, if that makes any sense.

Tommy Tallarico composed the music for this oft overlooked gem of a game.

I do not own this music, 7-Up, Sprite, or Spot.
I am uploading this music in a fan-based manner and do not mean to infringe any copyrights.

  • Years ago? I played this just now!

  • Really? Awesome.

I played it when it was sort of new, all the way back on the Genesis. I own the original cart.

  • Yeah, I have the original cart too somewhere, but I'm also somewhat guilty of upgrading to emulators.

The mine-card level can be kinda tricky if you don't know what's what, and where.

  • Same; how do you think I got the music? =P

I wonder how you get some of the items on that level? I think they're just for show.

  • Ignore my previous message for two reasons.

The continous extra life trick doesn't work as you can only do it once.

I knew what you meant now when you said "items just for show", where the only way to get them is to somehow move the cart backwards which you can't, yeah they probably are there just for show.

  • lol.

There's still a lot of secrets in this game I haven't figured out yet, like how to open that last chest in Ship Hold, and the flashlight in House Cellar...

  • Honestly, this is one of my all-time favorite Genesis games. The Sonic, Vectorman, and Ecco series come first, but this is still way up there. For an obscure game that was essentially an advertisement for 7up, it was really fun and challenging. I always liked the music and graphics, too. The only thing that always takes time for me to get used to is the controls--the whole diagonal walking thing. It's too bad not many people have played it, but it's not exactly surprising, either...

  • Song is playing at 60 Hz instead of 50 Hz. Wrong speed, dude.

  • So do I!! It'a an awesome Game!!!! XD

  • i have this game for nintendo gameboy color it was fun but i dont really want it anymore

  • Well what I found weird was that they had jumps that led to getting two extra lives, and ultimately a fall to your death due to no track after.

But I gave it a thought, you get 2 extra lives, you lose one from the fall, you end up getting one extra life anyway when you restart the level. Obviously you could keep this up to get as many lifes as you want.

Which I thought was pretty nifty =D
