Window view from Air Koryo's Tu-134B-3 carrying a load of tourists as charter flight JS5114 from Samjion (ZZ04) to Chongjin (ZZ07). Chongjin is located near the Russian border in the far northeast of North Korea. The aircraft was registered as P-814 and the flight took place on September 13th, 2009. Upon landing, a line-up of operational Mig-15s was on the other side of the runway. I will upload the takeoff video where these can be seen. Also note the high landing speed of the Tu-134 due to the lack of slats. You can also see the reverse thrust jetwash signature on the wing.

  • WOW it must be cool be be on one of those, I mostly only see Tu-154s

  • @22871987 thats how almost all soviet-era runways are built

  • look at the runway...looks like its made out of concrete slabs puzzled together..lol

  • Holy shit that flight was unbelievably fast on approach and landing. I've never seen that before. That runway looks like it was patched together from clay. Good thing the landing gear was strong enough to hold up, wow! Like.

  • so loud

  • ...that's quite a runway...looks like it was pieced together from garage floor slabs...?!?!

  • Nice, First air koryo video that isnt ZKPY of Beijing
