I don't know, I never watch TV and therefore I never watch TV ads either. :-)
Besides, I think that ads usually try to convince people of something that isn't true, so I do my best to actively ignore them when I'm encountering any. I don't need to be pointed out that there is a certain new paintball hype being promoted by a company.However, I do appreciate a true review of new products, and I especially like side by side tests and comparisons that expose the hype and show what's really working.
