Unbelievable. All these years we've been "Told" how "Clean and Safe" coal energy is....what a sham...these people better have taken responsibility(TVA) for their mess. Unbelievable. someone from that area if they still live there should respond...and tell if TVA has, indeed done what they said. I never even heard of this....till I Put a search in google "Ice Age(cartoon) go green"...and saw the original 13min video of the disaster, and victims of it.....Unbelievable.

I used to think that these corporations only hate black people and other minorities with a passion.

You better add the powerless poor and trusting white people to their menu. All they do is to keep people ignorant and patriotic. I understand they are now using this toxic stuff to build golf courses for unsuspecting golf lovers. How loving!

It does not matter what you say about coal fact is it keeps your lights on even in the TVA areas. Clean Coal don't really matter to me I say burn it till its gone then burn the natural gas. Not until then. I will agree with one thing and one only that is strip mining needs to be managed better no reason to loose mountain tops to the extreme that it is going on. however deep coal mining keep on going keep on going til the last block.

Storing fly ash isn't a viable solution. The TVA seem unaware of the new RockTron technology, designed to recycle 100% fresh and stockpiled fly ash to produce industrial eco-minerals. The $5 billion cleanup budget could build 100 RockTron recycling plants instead, saving power plants millions, preserving the environment and protecting our valuable natural resources. Check out RockTron fly ash on the search engines!

Well, you just said the main keyword in your own statement here," they had to make sure it was safe for them to come in and clean this mess" Must anyone else say more?
