Cliff was an better bass player than Jason, Rob and Ron and he had more creative influence on metallica and their style. Jason hardly ever had hands on the creative progress in making an album. Personally my favourite albums are Master of Puppets and Ride The Lightning. But you can't deny the power that Jason has given Metallica on their live performances and this is why Jason is my favourite Bass Player of Metallica ever. The power behind his voice and attitute is just... WOW

Saying Burton was better bassist than Jason is stupid, its like saying Dave was better than Kirk, Old Metallica is clearly not the new one, the band changed a lot and was on its best with its best albums with Jason, 10 years playing is enough to earn his title as the best bassist Metallica had compare to 4 years where the band didnt had even 10% of the fame she had when he came, fact.
