Drummers of the world, please listen --- the count-in isn't just a "starting gun" to get everybody to start on the "one" --- it's also to SET THE TEMPO of the song. But this guy shouldn't feel bad as this is a universal problem everywhere. The great thing is that the overall meter was good here, i.e., same tempo thoughout, which is great as that's a serious problem a lot of drummers have and can't control at all.
