@nathanieljorden Michael Phillips is a very intelligent critic. Just because fanboys think that all the movies he likes are "stupid" and movies like this are masterpieces, it doesn't mean that some of us don't actually like seriously good movies.
Okay, call me a snob. But I love the movies more than anyone. And I love fun movies! But to say that someone is stupid for not liking a film such as THIS is downright ridiculous.
2 stars?! That's absurd, I give your review 2 stars as the only thing you commented on and liked was the car chase, what are you a child? Seriously very clever how it's from different perspectives but you just want to view it like a child and not see the complexity that the film contains.
There was audible reshuffling amongst the audience when I went to see this after about the 3rd flashback. It was a nice idea, but for me it became very tiresome. Car chase was good, and the twist with Matthew Fox was unexpected. Also worthy of note, finally a proper seemingly professional assassin who puts two bullets into each target in rapid succession. Usually in films it's either overkill with an entire clip or only one shot so the target is incapacitated for a few moments.
When I first saw the trailer I was hoping that we would see the same event over and over again. Now that I have seen it (the day it came out in theaters) I really enjoyed it BUT the trailer revealed TOO MUCH.
