Former ESC-participant Kirsti Sparboe performing "Gi meg fri" with Kjell Karlsen's band at the Norske Melodi Grand Prix final in 1966. This song placed 2nd with 11 points and it's my personal fav.

  • The tamborine player looks very similar to Odd Børre who sang in the ESC of 1968 for Norway (he was a member of the Kjell Karlsen's band in 1966)!

  • yes, it's him:)

  • Sexbombe..flotteste dama i Norge

  • the best singer from Norway ever.

  • En skikkelig virtuos med tamburinen!

  • @LCRTM "Gi meg fri " means "Give me a break"

  • Kirsti is SO good. She later, in the seventies, did some swedish recordings "En liten flicka med röda naglar" bl a, in the company of Benny Borg,

  • No, and I don't know if it was recorded in Norwegian.

But the title means in Norwegian "Jeg føler meg så sterk"

  • Do you happen to know the name in Norwegian?

  • Sparboe won a song contest in Rio with a song called "I Feel So Strong". I beleive it was in 1968

  • Very small voice.
