  • @wsu89 It actually would be a great job if it wasn't for the fucking customers and the asshole manager. Other than that it was just boring.

  • That's Bill Bast in the car ad. He used to live across the street from us in Makakilo.

  • Regarding the very last line: Usually it was, "...will not be seen tonight, due to network pre-emption on the mainland." That probably was before 1982, though.

    The Waikiki Trade Center initially was advertised as an upscale joint, as this commercial shows, but unfortunately the opening tenants of the ground floor and second floor didn't end up lasting that long - and after that, it was just a succession of low-budget businesses.

  • I worked at the Burger King @ Waikiki Trade Center in the 80's as a teen. It totally sucked!

  • I swear the building ad had subliminal brainwashing messages.

  • Channel 9! Gotta love that jingle!
